  Old  Advertisements on a portfolio

I would assume this is the best place to post this as it falls under Business.

So i understand that adding advertisements (google) to your portfolio/freelance website is unprofessional and pushes away potential clients.

But lets say you had your freelance website with your normal pages, Home, Services, Portfolio and contact. If you were to add a blog to this website that is dedicated to the same topic as your portfolio do you think it would be alright to insert a small advertisement only to the blog page?
Generally this would be to help fund for hosting.

Thanks.

Typically, on a portfolio site, ads are frowned upon. But, you're talking about the blog section of the site, and for that, I don't see why that would be an issue. Of course, if you're using Adsense, you might get some ads that compete with your business, so I'm not sure I'd use it.

Thanks.
Yeah well i had no intention of adding it to my portfolio page, but i thought there was no harm in using the blog.
I may not use Adsense, it was just an example.
