Old  iiyama TFTs - reliable for designers?

We have one at work, which is fine to work with, but are they reliable enough for designers?

Not quite expensive, but cheap?

I wouldn't rely on one if i was a designer, they're even worse than Acer etc. for designing. Even their premium screens are shoddy, we bought some at my workplace, and they're just diabolical compared to a mid range screen like a Samsung.

Thanks Oliver, I was actually hoping for YOU to reply! :P

I guessed so about iiyama, too bad. Their CRTs used to be great.

So, what do you recommend, for designing?

I've worked with Apple(iMacs/Macbook), Dell(24" WFP) & Samsung(Syncmaster 930), and they were all pretty good for designing, I guess.

Oh, and Hanns G is probably crap as well?
