  Old  Button Roll Over

I want a box containing text to appear when the mouse rolls over a button. I was advised to make my box in the form of a movieclip and use actionscript to make the button show the movieclip when it is rolled over, but everything I've tried doesn't work! I think I might have done something wrong when making my movieclip. I'm still quite new to flash and would appreciate any help.

Don't use flash for websites, ever. Flash will absolutely kill your search engine rankings because their bots can not do much with it. Use javascript, here is a tutorial for it (there are tons more on Google) http://www.webdevelopersnotes.com/ti...rollovers.php3

If your needs are more advanced than that there are javascript effects libraries. Whatever you do, please don't use flash.
