Whats wrong about or missing from this design?

The logo should be moved to the right more to align with the text. I think that the major chunk of text that you have there should come below the picture, and if possible shorten the text to a few taglines.

Arrows on the picture almost blend in, I couldn't tell it was a slider until I looked at the pic full screen. I'd prolly put them on either side. I think the font is a bit too bold for my taste too, and not the best shade of green - but if that's their logo and the colours you have to use then I understand.

I'd also fix up the top menu bar, it's not a perfect rectangle and maybe a tad bit too fat. See if taking away the shadow on the left helps too - or maybe make it symmetrical.
