opensource system like Paypal or Stormpay

I am wondering if there is any know any wb application which is similar to online payment systems like Paypal, Stormpay or Ikobo and is available under GPL or any other opensource license?

There probably is somewhere but i doubt it would be useable, if it was opensource it probably wouldn't be safe enough to use

If you want to open a money system, you really need to pay to have it custom designed. It is way to dangerous using a premade one that is open to the public.

Yes, such a system is dangerous. A client is asking for an opensource one as he can't pay for a custom made one. I'll be customizing the front-end and possibly the back-end.
I have explained him all the insecurities and everything to him. But he still needs an opensource one.

*Sigh* I'd find that unethical on my part if I was in your shoes, but oh well. Try freshmeat. If I remember correctly, there was a backend for such a script in PHP.

never seen these in opensource before. I doubt that people would spent time to make and then make it opensource when it can't be used safely

Didnt we have one of these customs advertised on the forums a while back? Perhaps another forums but I remember it was a paypal clone that went for like $700

Paypal is a bank, not just a website.
