Marketplace and PM's
The whole marketplace and PM restrictions are kind annoying.
I am also pretty sure that around 11ish pm or 12ish am I should have been able to post within the marketplace but I am still not able to as I had 5 posts.
EDIT: Pleaseedit you marketplace rules for it is different then the rules that are mentioned in the sticky above my post talking about account updates.
5 Post Minimum
In order to get a positive contribution from you, so you can contribute to the forum in general, and not simply trade your wares, there is a 5 post minimum required to post in the Marketplace. This means if you have only 1, 2, 3, or 4 posts please do not advertise in the Marketplace. Your thread will be removed and you will likely receive a warning.
Please note that once you have met the 5 post requirement there will be a short delay before your account is updated and you are able to post in the advertising section. Usually this delay is around 1 hour.

It's now 10 posts and you need to wait for your account to update.

Where did you find those rules stated that it's five posts? I thought I had changed the rules to 10, but I guess not everywhere.

Jeff, it is not just that one post it is in every marketplace guidelines in every forum section, I'd just copy and paste the new paragraph.

Maybe so, but they're there for a reason whether you like it or not. We (meaning the collective TalkFreelance) care more for the well established members being protected from spammers, fraudsters and such like than the freedom of genuine newcomers - whether you like it or not. The rules may be annoying, but they're only annoying until you've reached the requirement.

I was meaning more towards the part where it is not immediately effective. But I do understand and have understood why it is there.
