I'll love Vista once I upgrade my computer to 8GB RAM.
People hate XP when they using a P3 and 256MB ram, imagine in next few years, people might able to buy a 8GB ram and 4 Core CPU with a cheap price.
It's really related what hardware you're using.

Well, I've been running vista since it was longhorn, back in the day.

Certain features (such as UAC) I didn't like but of course, they can be disabled.

The other week I reformatted my computer back to XP, However - two days later I was back on Vista Ultimate.

As much as Mac's look good, Yes - Look good.
Like someone already mentioned you're paying top dollar for crappy parts.

But the fact is that Vista is 10 times better then XP on functionaity and how usefriendly it is..

But, XP is more stable then Vista! And from what i can see, then that is the only negative thing with Vista and positive thing with XP.

An operating system is only as good as the machine it is installed on... I am currently running Vista and have not had a SINGLE crash, stall, ect... XP on the other hand on the same machine would crash constantly.

I actually like the interface of Vista. I've seen it run on a 512MB RAM laptop, and it hasn't stuffed up yet. Though I have heard of negative comments on Vista, especially people who upgrade from XP to Vista. My computer only runs on XP, but I'm not planning to upgrade, maybe until Windows 7 come.

When Vista was first released, it was definitely ahead of it's time (especially when it comes to laptops). This has changed, however, as I recently purchased a $400 laptop (normally $600) that runs Vista nearly flawlessly. I now prefer vista, although I'm still learning my way around.

I think Mac OSX Leapord pwns Vista, but vista isn't as bad as people make it out to be.
