I'm working to build a national directory of sorts, for a niche service industry.
The site is/will need to be designed for maximum capacity. The site will have around 50-100 pages (2-3 unique page designs) to start, but needs to be capable of handling multiple thousands of pages. Most pages will contain articles, the rest will serve as company listings...separated by state.
The centerpiece of the site is an interactive map of the united states. When a visitor clicks on their home state, they're taken to that states page. Giving them all the local listings in their area. Local companies are separated by county. Clicking on a company listing takes the user to the company page.
What we need:
1. A site design sliced and coded (HTML +CSS)
2. Wordpress (or other CMS of similar functionality) Integration - to ease the process of creating hundreds of pages of content.
3. Interactive map of the country. Either a static map (with click-able states), or use something similar to this -

4. We're desperately trying to get this project up and running as soon as possible, so expedience is a huge plus!
5. We are on a budget, but we'll absolutely pay for excellence!
