Old  Total War :: Clan Site Review

Hi Everyone,

I created this layout for a gaming clan for Rome:Total War.

Tell me what you think. The image has been reduced to achieve better download times. I hope you will still be able to judge the general layout techniques.

Rome: Total War Clan Layout

Thanks in advance

It's not really doing anything for me. I think you need to work on the content areas more...divide them up so it's more easy to identify. At the moment it looks like a big image created from a tutorial with some text stuck on it.

I do like the way you've tried to theme it with the rome game, good use of colours and fonts...just work on making it into a functional site. You should make the header stand out more..perhaps full colour? I think the navigation also needs to be highlighted.

Couldn't agree more. Is it really small for a reason, have you scaled it down? The login is really small so that's what makes me think that.

Contrast.

Your site is lacking contrast, it has an ok structure but lacks definition between the different elements.

The site theme is nice, imagery works well, but maybe the header could be less opaque? allow it to stand out better and show it's colours rather than conceal it.

Lighten the drop shadow on the central content image too.
