If you are a serious gamer, you don't game on a laptop.
Alienware are gaming computers, or so they are supposed to be, which just goes to show, people who buy from alienware, probably don't know a whole lot about computers.

If you read the thread, he's talking about his laptop, not a desktop.

I don' think they were even recommending it. There are a lot of schools that give students free macs with their enrollment

I read on some Apple Blog about schools giving either macs out, or new iPhones/touches. Really small universities, don't remember names off the top of my head.
