  Old  IE8 gives 404 error on page when FF does not

I have a page that IE almost always returns a 404 on and firefox does not. It is an upload recipient page. This went by perfectly in FF and when tested in IE did not work. I was wondering if anyone knew why this might be happening? It is not being redirected or anything like that.

It sounds like a caching issue, it could be that one of the two browsers still loads the page from the cache.

It could also be something more complicated. If you're willing to share the link I can test it on my computer.

I can send the link via PM to anyone who wants to see it, I dont want the search engines to pick up on my development site for my client's SEO purposes.

I've isolated the problem further, it happens on that page when I run the following lines of code:

define('WP_USE_THEMES', false);
require_once(dirname(__FILE__) . '/../blog/wp-blog-header.php');

This file does exist, if I change the file name the page will come up with the PHP error. Other pages include this page as well and dont crash, these lines are in a page that is included virtually everywhere. That is the only factor I could isolate.

This is a more detailed description of the problem and the solution: http://www.adrogen.com/blog/wordpres...ses-404-in-ie/

In short, I hate IE.

Hello Village Genius, I got your PM thanks. As I see you already fixed the problem, so no need to hire me. (I don't think I could have solved this anyway. I've never experienced something similar before.)
