Well it looks like he just wants to get his name ruined. He isn't paying me. Surprise surprise.
-
This is what he wrote to me -
"I'm in a meeting. I do not have access to any instant messenger. I agree about the wasted efforts, Umar. I've experienced them, as well. This entire weekend was now wasted. I have said countless times that you would get paid and I still uphold to that commitment, despite your sudden immaturity and unprofessionalism. I asked for two things we needed for you to get paid: two things. Instead of providing them, you resulted into namecalling and slander on an Internet forum; as such, you've gained the support of countless other freelancers whom seem think you're out there "for the protection and wellbeinf of freelancers." If this were true, you'd tell the truth. I absolutly love that they are stoning someone based soley on one side; some crowd you have going there. In addition, I've received many threats from you, and even more from people I don't even know: phone call and emails, alike This is unacceptable and needs to stop.
Provided that this **** be removed (including the stuff by someone prtensing to be me posting on a stupid Internet forum), you will get our payment: but only then.
Evenmore, if it is your intention to cause harm, slander, or malfeacence to me, my family, my friends, my coworkers, or my clients, I'll persue each case seperatly in court. Your existing lies, threats, mal-intentions, and slander solidify my success in any court. This is between you and I, not some alliases online.
Again, get back to me with what you intent to do so that I do not waste anymore time, energy, or money on this ****. I've had enough. "
On this ****? Professional.

Yes Sujay, you are right. I'll learn from this. Never experienced it before and I've done over 100 dealings over the net for web work.

Notice how he stopped replying in this thread.
I think we can officially declare TheFrankfurtGroup scammers.

Sadly so.
I will be posting the design I did for them and the emails with "amends" in it etc to show you all the stuff I had to do. I was dumb to do it without taking payment. I guess I just put trust in people more easier than others do.

Why does that matter? Just deal with the loss and MOVE ON.

That should've happened 8 pages ago .. argh. Sometimes, it's worth the effort to get payment, but sometimes it's not. I would deem this one the latter. There has been immaturity on both sides, which is, frankly, stupid. Looking at it from an objective viewpoint, this entire event could have been avoided by both parties. No one person is to blame, but both. As freelancers, it's easy to side with one of our own. But when they act in this manner, it's a moment that brings to shame to our efforts. I hope a lesson has been learned. Not just by thedol, but by everyone who happened to read this thread.

I seriously sat threw this entire thread and read every post all the way up to page 9 lol. I am a freelance web designer myself and to be honest with you, I turn down 4-500 dollar jobs unless they pay full payment upfront. My name isn't big time in the web-design business but allot of people know me and I have plenty of sources to back me up. All I am saying to you is do what you please but if I were you, I would request full payment upfront
