Just bought a new camera

For college (digital design and media) we had to buy a digital camera
around 3OO€. They gave us some proposals and I bought the Canon PowerShot S5 IS .

Now the thing is , i know sh*t about photography,
does anyone know some website where i can learn about stuff like
macroshots and such? I know what a macroshot is , but i don't know how to do one.
