Old  Forum area for content writers?

Have you ever considered an area in your forum for writers to discuss things of concern to writers? You have your marketplace section for writers, but that doesn't seem to be set up for discussion. Just some food for thought.

Salathe will become famous soon enough

Sounds like a good idea, provided it doesn't become swamped with awful threads about pre-generated content, "article spinning", and other such "SEO" techniques.

Real discussion on the craft of writing doesn't seem to occur here all too often, but having some place for it is worth a second thought.

I agree, as long as it does not become swamped with garbage I think its a great idea.

That may (or may not) be because there is no section that is even close to being relevant to the subject. We may be opening up to a new audience by doing this.

Best case scenario is we get a lot more new members on a new subject, worst case is we have a new forum created for a couple months that did nothing except create a little spam. We really dont have much to loose here.

As VG says, there is nothing to lose.

I think we might give it a shot - a subject for all things writing and content creation... Anything else that this section could include?
