The old saying to freelancers goes something like this:

"You wouldn't walk into a supermarket, and when the total comes to $200, you only pay $50, so why try do it to freelancers?"

Maybe it wasn't the best example, but hopefully you get the point.

*gulp* I charged $1000-5000 per website.

That's why I am only asking for those who are interested on my offer. My client's can't afford $1000 over dollars design for now.

Please reply only if you are interested. I don't mind comments/flames, your advices are well appreciated.

I am looking for designers who can work on a long term basis rather than just one shot off.

Yep, but for starters, I can't pay premium prices. Hence, I started this thread.

I'm a student, and I'm building my portfolio by working with real clients, making real money daily.

You want to lowball to youths? Go to schools, not freelancers.
