Vista
I'm looking at getting a new system in the next month or so... But I want to know.
Should I purchase Vista? I was thinking about Home Premium, but I already have copies of XP Pro. So I'd rather save the £70 that vista will cost me, unless you guys reccomend it.
Also, is it worth paying twice as much or whatever to go for the Vista Ultimate? All I do is game, design, code and listen to music. And a bit of work. Sometimes. Well, never.
This brings me to a few more questions: Will my not-so-legal Office 07 work on it? And what about my not-so-legal other apps? They all work on XP fine at the moment. I know these questions will get me shot, but please have mercy!
Edit: Another question... Should I get the 64 bit version? My processor is a E6600, so 64 bit is supported (also supported by my mobo).
Thanks a lot in advance for taking the time to reply

Another question - can anyone tell me a mobo like the above, but allows for nVidia SLI? More or less same price. Maybe a few quid extra?

If by any chance you own a Zune, don't get it.
The software isn't compatible with Vista. |:

Hmmm okay... I'll see what a few more people say. And no, Zune's aren't my thang! I'm an iPod man.

My advice.
Don't even buy Windows, it's a total rip off, and don't go with Vista, it's a piece of junk and you'll have nightmares 24/7 if you get it. Just unite your not so legal app's with a not so legal OS
For the mobo: that particular Gigabyte isn't great, i'd rather go with a GA-965-DS3P Rev. 3.3 but i'd suggest to extend your budget and get this:

Windows XP is great now that is stable, it took it a few years to get like that though.
