) Anyway- I am off to see what photoshop does on vista

uhhh, the sound quality is hardly affected by the program in which it's playing through.

When using XP I was getting a popping sound on certain songs. I now have vista and those same songs do not have that *Popping* sound.

If so that is definitely the problem.
