Windows Vista Activation Problems

Ok so I thought it would be best to go in here...?

I typed 'slui 4' which brings up the phone activation for the activation thing... but it says select your location closest to you.. well ok, but the check box is like grayed out and cant click it

if i also go into the activation through the properties in my computer, on my laptop it says click here to activate other ways, i click that and the two choices are grayed out.

it doesnt give me the choice to activate other ways on my desktop

help or possibly get the number to call for the united states.

ADD: It is a illegal version and is not a cracked version or anything of that kind, I really wanna play past the first level on halo 2 and also not have to keep formating every 30 days...
