Wow!
My Damn XFX GeForce 8600 GT won't run COD2 withput hella lag. What the heck?
Should it be ok?

If not I should return it and get something that freaking works.. Boy I am upset.. (Plus I didn't get the $20 discount!)

Well, Xuxa point out to me on msn that its not a supported GFX card, so thats why I am having the issue. My other spec on my computer are too uber.

Hmm, thats odd, the card you have is one the best budget gfx cards around and yea cod2 should support it, your option would to be to downgrade to a 7900GT or upgrade to a 8800GTS, but email EA i think lol and ask them bout it

That should be more than enough to play COD2, I used to play it with my Nvidia 5700, and still can.
However there are a few settings which you can change to increase the performance. I highly recommend you change the following settings:
Options ---> Graphics:
- I played in DirectX 7
- Sync every frame - No
- Anti-aliasing - Off
- Aspect Ratio - Auto
That should help you out, let me know if it does.

If you havn't tried already, try updating any outdated drivers, especially your graphics card's one.

I'd just like to throw this out... you really shouldn't have got the 8600... the 8800 is only a bit more and throws out so much steam, it's unbelivable
Anyways, good job it's working good now
