I'm probably going to keep them and use them to advertise my own services, (Already got a few versions of my portfolio up - why not add another couple eh), and possibly those of other US based designers.

I would agree with jon, the .us domain kills it. They aren't bad though for personal use or perhaps if you develop them somewhat.
