Old  Making web templates what shall I save them as

Hi there,
I have begun making web templates but do not use photoshop. I do have the option to save as .psd but am not sure how well it will trun out. Is there another 'universal' format I could save as, so when I trade/sell it people can easily edit it, as they would somebody gave them the .psd file for something.

I hope I am clear.

James

really, psd is good, cos people use that and the layering system is good. Perhaps make a rough temp then send to someone you trust on Photoshop format then ask them how it comes out.

What program do you have? If you save as .psd I believe it should work fine.

Usually Photoshop is the best for designing templates, and Gimp is a open sourse program which has fewer options than Photoshop.
