I have been steering people toward bluehost.com

I haven't ever seen any complaints about them.

Overselling means that they sell more bandwidth and/or diskspace than they have total, it makes no difference how many accounts you have on 1 server.

For instance if my server had 80GB of space, and I was hosting 80 accounts with 1 gig each, that is not overselling. On the same note I could host 240 accounts at 256MB each on the same server and that would not be overselling.

Now if I had 80 accounts on that server, yet I was giving them 2 gig's a piece, then I would be overselling because I do not have 160 gig's to give, I'm just hoping that they don't all use it at the same time.

Overselling is both good and bad. Most buisness that have the oportunity to oversell, oversell. Its just the only way to stay in buisness. However, some oversell less than others.

If you want the ultimate explination of overselling IMO, then click here:
http://blog.dreamhost.com/category/business/

and read the blog entry: The Truth About Overselling!

If i'm not mistakened, that blog belongs to the owner of dreamhost. Its also a good read

whoah slow down do a search on webhostingtalk.com for site5.com, i dont think ive foudn one good comment about them! they are part of a group of websites that have massive scale hosting in order to offer it that cheap (Seemingly below cost) but from what i have heard (definatly not personal experience) dont expect any help from them.

I am currenctly hosted with jumba.com.au they are a AU company, but their US hosting i have had no problems with at all

Ok the, enought said. Site5 has been knocked off my list completely. Way too many complaints. Apparantly liquidweb does have good reviews but they might be a bit expensive for me.

I'm also looking at: http://www.resellerzoom.com/index.shtml which has pretty decent accounts. Anyone know of them?
I currently have a reseller from resellerzoom, I have the cheapest plan. And I must tell you, my site is REALLY slow. I think it's because I use the cheapest plan.

That's a really good heads up Sancho. Even if you have the cheapest plan, it doesn't mean your service should be crappy. Thanks.
