I'm surprised that so many of you choose IE over FF even after trying it out. Almost everyone who I've introduced to FF have ditched IE for it and for good reason too.
Apart from being much more secure than IE, FF is also faster than IE and has far less bugs than IE.

IE has a really bad caching issue where it sometimes displays cached versions of pages...also, IE sometimes loads CSS or other documents from cache where the correct thing to do would be to reload from the original location. To get around this, a lot of developers have to send special headers to the browser if it's IE based, so naturally, I would be a FF fan

IE7 supposedly has tabbed browsing and can be skinned plus it supports extensions. But I doubt it will be almost bug free, as FF is.

:edit:
I also forgot to mention that IE does not support all features of PNG images. If they did, web design would be so much more easier and dynamic.
I'll be surprised if IE7 has improved CSS support and has less CSS bugs because all those CSS bugs means bloated CSS files (so that CSS hacks can be included to correct all the IE CSS bugs)

Hehe.

What do you mean?
IE is just copying the ideas that the Mozilla crew implemented...nothing really wrong with that since it's not illegal to do that....but they should relally concentrate on improving what matters, their CSS rendering and the caching bug because that causes havoc for developers.

They're just adding all these other features to attract the market...it's like having a the chassis of a Jaguar over the engine of a crappy vehicle. It looks and feels pretty, but when it comes to performing, you get left behind in the dust.

Erm, I like FF just because it's much faster than IE, better support for CSS and standards, the tabbed browsing, and the nice little download manager.

Something I do not like about IE (and other MS software) is the fact that they integrate it too much in the OS. I would love to see IE (and Messenger) as ordinary standalone programs. You download the installer, if you don't like it, uninstall it.

Another example: Firefox is set as my default browser. However clicking a link in Messenger still opens up IE. Really frustrating. Anyway, I do not understand people still use IE after having tried Firefox. Seriously.

To finish this post: one of my favorite Firefox extensions are mouse gestures. They speed up the browsing experience tremendously!

I'm not brave enough to upgrade my Windows to SP2 heh heh
Besides, I only use it to play the occasional game so I'm just leaving it the way it is.

A lot of people have told me they've had problems with SP2 though...but it's really hard to say if it was the Service Pack...it could just be a badly maintained Windows run by a lazy user.
