Old  Need help setting up an online store

A client has asked me to set up an online shop for him. The design and programming parts are easy for me, I do those on a daily basis. However, I've never set up an online store before, and the payment and shipping details are pretty much foreign to me. How does that stuff work, and how much will I have to deal with it? Or will the client just end up dealing with it all?

You can setup a online commerce site within few minutes with osCommerce. See http://www.oscommerce.com/solutions

I had installed magento but had some issues with the host not having something in php enabled that it needed.

I think the client will deal with little. it seems setting up payment gateways can be even more of a challenge than the actual script.

data entry also is concern. you need to work that out.

I have set up severals e-commerce store with osCommerce and more with Magento, the only things is that you need a good hosting, you should use one with one click install is you are not sure what to do.
