with paypal i think its best to have a business premier acct. this allows you to buy and sell.

with a merchant acct. i don't think there's so strict a limit on the amount you can receive. but you can't be an ebay merchant. it's ridiculous, i see why so many people are finding other payment processors.

paypal is crazy, they allowed another company to charge me without my consent and when I did not have the amount in my paypal account (as I was not planning on buying this item nor did I actual authoize this purchase) they took it out of my back account that had nothing in it so I got a bank fine. Man what a mess!

So to make it worse - after I straightened out the company that charged me without my authorization and they returned the charge paypal would not return the charge to my bank (telling me they can't do that) and therefore my bank would not refund the fine. I then spoke with my bank and they said that paypal can reverse the charge - so I called paypal up again and explained this to them and the lady hung up on me! I finally got my bank to just take the fine off as they could see paypal was not playing far!

I love paypal, If there are unauthorized charges just one phone call will completely remove that charge from you. They are very efficient and leniant with that sort of stuff.

Also the fees paypal has are MUCH lower then if you were to use wiretransfer
