for 2000$ you can build a windows comp with double the specs. look into mac osx86.

That's isn't fully why I want a Mac because of the specs.
And didn't I say I already made my mind up?
Where else can I get an operating system to look so aesthetically pleasing to the eye, and have developers develop awesome software for the system?
They are all cheap!
Lets compare some laptops:
Look, I am not here for a biased review. I just think an Apple will give me my best bang for the buck. I can run Windows, Windows Vista, Mac OS X, Linux, all on one machine! YouTube Link
Not only because of the hype behind Apples, but from past expierence. Over the last 6 months, whenever I go to a CompUSA I played with iMac's, Mac Pro, MacBook, and MacBook Pros.
Thanks for the suggestion KewL, but I will never think about spending 2,000$ for a laptop that I didn't want.

although i shat a HDD from it, they replaced it no cost straight away.

Just a thought, when / if your order one, you can save a lot of money if you buy the extra RAM and a larger HDD from third party stores. There are many that have been tested and work with the MacBook (Pro) and they are very easy to add to the laptop.

Yah, I can't justify spending 175$ on 1 gig of ram, longer shipping.

Yeah it's very simple. Compare that to changing the HDD on an iBook or Powerbook.

Why can't I replace the gig that's in there with the 2 I would buy? And I am sure they match up or else they wouldn't be in the Mac Laptop section of Newegg.
