  Old  Mac Mouse

Does anyone have problems with the mac mouse because for some reason mine keeps shooting all over my screen. I have got it home and set it up im wondering if this is normal or should i take it back? Any ideas?

your talking about the mighty mouse correct, also is it the bluetooth or wired.

I am talking about the standard mouse i got with the mac. Yes its wired, how do i know if its the mighty mouse? It has the 2 button either side of it

I know my mighty mouse doesn't like shiny surfaces, it used to jump all over the place.

yea try and use it with a mouse pad see if it does the same thing.

Usually, any optical mouse prefers a matt surface over a shiny one, due to the way the mice calculate movements. Try a mousemat, which should work. If not, then you may have a configuration, or more likley, a problem with the optical part of the mouse.

Damm, i dont have a mouse mat although i tried in on a sheet pf paper and its working Thanks alot guys, ill have to get myself a mouse mat now
