Old  Making the monitor less damaging/straining on the eyes

Besides keeping your distance about 1 meter away from the screen, what else can you do to lessen the amount of strain/damage the screen does to your eyes? Are there any products you can buy especially for this case? (Maybe a screen you can attach onto the monitor to lessen the glare?)

Just wondering because I spend quite alot of time in front of the computer.

Make sure you view your monitor in a well lit room, and make sure your refresh rate is set to the highest possible setting, to avoid minor flickering

Adjust the brightness to minimal level and keep the refresh rate at least 75Hz or higher.

Shoot lol, I am normally in the dark due to the fact that I do not like the lights that are directly over me because the light gives a bad reflection/glare of the monitor, and the light that I normally use blew out.

Buy an LCD monitor if you don't have it yet. These damage eyes much less.

for me lcd seems more eye-saver, i set the brightness to a minimum and the contrast also. however i know there some lens for glasses that help reducing the damage to eye from monitors, anti-reflex i heard they are called not sure though
