I could care less how loud the system is, as long as it does its job of cooling my components. And I've read several reviews on the case and nobody mentioned the fact that they are loud. The reason I am getting such a large power supply is so that I can run SLI, quad-core processor, more ram, and extra fans without having to worry about waisting money buying a new power supply. Also, whoever told you that the 8600GTS is just as good as a 8800 lied to you. There is no comparison between the two. Finally, I need the memory that the 640MB version of the 8800GTS has to offer. My system will see a monitor upgrade in the future: either a 27" or a 30" Dell. I'm well aware that some of the parts are overkill, but that is just to future proof anything. I don't want to be caught with my pants down this time around.
And thanks for all of the compliments guys. I guess I'll take some pictures of the system when I'm done.

Yeah you were talking about saving money... but yeah i think like you do... since your spending that much money in the first place.. you might as well spend about 40 more on each part and not have to buy it twice....
what i meant about the video card is that you might as well save $200 and get a video card that would do you fine... but thats before i knew about that monitor.
yeah that 30" is ganna be so sick.. gotta get us some pictures.

Definitely will, however I won't be getting the monitor for a few weeks. I need to save up a bit more.

Hmm yeah lately HP have actually released better 27" and 30" inch monitors and i think they are also slightly cheaper. The both have the same LG monitor inside them both but the HP has better connectivity

That system looks very similar to one I am building
That conroe CPU is the most overclockable one of the lot, and it should crank up to high speeds, also has the 4mb cache...sweet

Parts came in today! I took a few pictures of everything. I've gotten everything bolted up, and I get to start wiring tomorrow. After that, OS, bios, drivers, and tons of headaches. I'll be sure to post the pictures when I'm finished. Can't wait
