Old  Help - Camera and Editing Freelance Work

Howdy!

I don't know if I'm in the right place, but I thought someone here might have some tips.

I've recently graduated college and I've found some freelance opportunities. Some opportunities have been for camera work (both filming with AND renting out my Panasonic HVX200) and some has been for video editing work. Unfortunately, college didn't teach me what contracts I might need and what rates I should be targeting. Does anyone know of any books/sites/anything that might help?

Thanks!

A really good video editing program is Ulead VideoStudio 11 Plus. It has really helped me. I have used tons of different video editing software, and by far this is the easiest for me to use and very time and cost efficient. Oh Oh, almost forgot, they offer a free trial on their site.

You can easily get this off eBay for around $50. That is a great price for what this is.

Hope that helps.

I'm good on software. I'm more looking for liability and work contracts. I assume I need a contract for liability when I rent the camera, and I also assume I need a contract for work (or rental fees), in case people flake on payment or something. Anyone know of a good source for these, or are these not something people usually use?

Actually, this one is probably more along the lines of what you're looking for.

-Edit:

Oh yeah, I should have edited the first one, eh :P
