How is IM unprofesional? Live chatting is perfect. If you type with good grammar and spelling then what is wrong with that?!

The difference between landing a new client or losing a potential client is the ability to be dynamic and work with their needs.
Refusing to use standard IM (AIM, MSN, Yahoo, gTalk, etc) is really not a good idea.
