Yes, I'd love some sort of IRC for this site. Although, I'm really not sure why this site would need one - they are still cool.

I will tell you this right now....talkfreelance will never ever have a shoutbox. Shoutboxes defeat the point of a forum and they remind me of sites aimed at 14 year olds.....
With regards to the IRC chat room, perhaps when we are more developed.

lol, Yeah i agree shoutbox'es make people act imiture no mater how many u bann for spamming flamming exxta theres always gonna be a couple that still do it but a chat would be okay.

I agree with Robson on that one. Shoutboxes and even chats to an extent ruin the point of the forum. Although the chat is real time it pulls users from the forum really. Unless there was an organized time for say template auctions here or something then it would be pointless in my eyes.
