Old  Would you take on a client you hate?

I was just thinking about this last night, if someone approached you with a job and you had a strong dislike for the person, would you take them on as a client? Would you take them on as a client if they were paying $1,000?

I wouldn't take a client on if i hated them, the price would be irrelevant as we just wouldn't be able to work together or get along.

uh.. no. I make that much minimum from clients I like. But everyone has a price. Anything above 5,000 I'd do it.

well i hate lots of people, but i'd still take them on. i requie at least 1/3 up front, so if we're both aware of the difficulties i'll make it clear, i can put differences aside, but if they're going to be a **** just because, i'll drop it without a refund.

if they can be mature and not be an idiot, we'll be fine.

Yeah, so long as we stick to business talk, and don't get started on the reason I hate them, I don't see much of a problem.

Even if I subconsciously make their design ****.

I wouldn't, because I'd just feel dirty doing things for them.

You guys obviously never had any business classes. First thing you learn in the business world is BUSINESS IS STRICKLY ABOUT MONEY!! If you let your personal life gets involve, it will only slow you down on making more money.

I have had many lectures on business, but i can see alot of problems arising from dealing with a client you dislike. Potential arguments could arise and how do you know they will even pay up? Business is business but doing business with someone you don't get along with is stupid imo.

Everything is strickly about money !

Anyways, I would take them on, even if I hated them. Personally I wouldn't make their design any worse or better then any other clients. The one thing that I would make srue is, any extras that most clients would get for free...pay up!
