TFer... Stole my content

A TFer I talked to months ago went and found all my rap MySpace layouts and decided to go over my "MySpaceStop.com"s and use them on his site...

The site is http://www.PimpMaSpace.com , most of the Rap ones are all mine with his site's name stamped over mine...

I want to know, anyone knows this guy? I talked to him on AIM months ago thinking he was just some other nice guy trying to get ideas and discuss sites...

Im pissed off. Im sure hes had these for a while now. Can I press charges? (I can easily get a lawyer...)

What can I do other than e-mailing him to take them down?

It's not right that hes getting money off of content that I paid hundreds of dollars for... and that I spent alot of hours on... I'm sure I can do more than just get him to take them down since I bet he has been getting nice checks off of them.

If you have access to a lawyer, then I would ask for advice before doing anything, as you have payed allot of money for these.

You should try emailing him before you make public vulgar accusations.

I never said it wasn't. To be honest, there's no reason for you to post about it. If you want legal advice, at least post in the right forum. Also, how do you know his sexual orientation?

Thats not helping his frustration. How would you feel if you were him? I'd personally be pretty pissed as well.

Ok... He took about 100+ layouts...

Theres atleast 1,000 dollars worth of MySpace layouts on his site that belong to me, and he's making money off of them.

I'm not a big money webmaster, I get around, this is clearly pissing me off.

I would be upset but not to the point that I would make a post like this on a public forum.

Send him a C&D, that's the best you can do.

Hmm, depending on your lawyer, $1000 is a lot, and it may be worth it to pursue legal action. However, I would try and be humane about it. Contact him, and his host. If you can WITHOUT A DOUBT prove it’s your property, I’m sure his host will listen. Either way it’s worth a shot. Julian knows a good amount about this subject. Try contacting him.

Pursuing this type of lawsuit would not be worth it. As I said, send him a C&D linking the infringements and he'll likely remove them.
