the macbook air serves it's target audience very well, but i think the problem is that it was hyped to be more than it is meant for. most people don't fit into the area that apple designed the macbook for, but want it because of the hype and it's sleek design

It's a nice looking laptop, but I heard they cut out a lot of things hardware wise any normal laptop would have.

Well like everything from Apple I'm a sucker, I always go and buy. So this evening I pre-ordered a MacBook Air to use as a business-only laptop that I can take with me to work on, can't wait to get it delivered. But it's a risk like every early apple product adopter. Just like I was a sucker with the iPhone, I bet in a few month this will be updated with more HDD capacity.
