Second Thoughts
So I just spent $1500 on my new computer. Now that I think about it, that's a lot of money to spend at one time, and I'm starting to have second thoughts. I built a really nice system, but I'm starting to wonder if maybe its a bit to overkill, and that I shouldn't have spent so much money.
I like to game, but do I really have a need for an 8800GTS with 640MB? Do I really need a Raptor hard drive? Do I really need an E6420 processor? No, all I really want to do is work in Photoshop, and play the occasional CS:S or BF2.
My family upgrades our main computer every few years, and I impressed my dad with my build. I'm pretty sure I could sell him my system for almost the same amount of money that I spent on it. However I'll need to buy a new computer. My old one is an AMD Athlon 2400+ with a Radeon 9200.
Has anybody else been in a similar situation as me: spent a lot of money on a new computer (or anything for that matter), and had second thoughts? What did you do?

Yea, I just started doing research on what I could get if I choose to downgrade, and I think I'll stick with what I have

Thing is, if you have a good base that leaves room for upgrade without changing the whole system and paying that again.

I'm probably too late, but:
Any chance you could sell it privately for a profit?
I know a few people here that build PCs, then sell them on as complete; For a tidy sum.

I do kind of know the feeling, having just spent $8k+ on a new computer myself, but surprisingly it's not really overkill for what i need, it just feels like it....

I'd keep it.. having a better computer allows you to keep it longer. Buying cheaper computers in shorter intervals could cost about the same as buying more expensive ones in longer intervals.
Also, what's your BF2 name? We should play together sometime.. my stats: http://bf2s.com/player/104729631/ (my second account, I felt starting fresh).
