This would be really good if everything was just sized down a bit.

I'm mainly talking about the navigation, imo, it should be much smaller, its so big its insulting me!

Same goes for the sidebar headers.

Make everything a little more compact and it will be really nice!

I 2nd the size issue. I like refining my designs over a long period. You'll spot things you didnt even notice if you leave it a while then go back to it

Okay, so instead of making your designs better in terms of accessibility and usability, you've gone the opposite way and made it harder to use? Also, I think that websites over 800px in width is unnecessary anyway, It makes it look huge, and ugly.

It's cool to try different things, which improve your designs, not the opposite. Maybe try to limit yourself to a certain ammount of images, say 10, and still try to make it hot via CSS. Doing things like this will improve your skills, and also make it better in terms of usability (Images > CSS loading speeds).

My 2c.
