I dont think a TF$ system is a good idea, but I wouldnt mind seeing some sort of system based around helpful pst points or something.

Yeah I think it would help the community personally, lets wait until an admin sees this post.

I am not for the idea of a user rating system, but I could live with it. I am absolutely against the idea of a shop/money system. This is a professional forum, a money system for fictional items is an awful idea.

Yes Derek, you're a great example. If people would thank members for good posts (by adding "rep") that can only be a good thing -- the really helpful members can get that little bit of recognition for the countless hours they spend just being nice.
Drawing attention away from the marketplace (iTrader) and into more productive, helpful discussion is good, right?

what i envisioned was just another field, like the itrader one that just says 'rep: #'. you make a good design / you offer some sound advice, people like you, they up your rep points. you're an ass and just **** people off, people let you know with - rep points.
somethingleet had a rep system. it never got abused. if you got - rep points, you probably did something to deserve them. in a way i can see how it could isolate certain members - but that happens already.

Yeah but we want a way of rewarding those who don't use the market place so much but are really helpful in the coding forums for example..

Definitely. I think this is an excellent idea.
