I'm not even going to bother reading half the arguement above. Baby Boy; as a person trying to get into creating a popular website, I find it very sad that you would not be taking every oppertunity to hear what others' have had success with, or topics that many have experience in. In my opinion, you're doomed to fail unless you get out of your closed mind arguementive state.

In acting as childish(egotistic), you're only opening yourself up for failure due to you creating a poor product because of it, and soon a poor service because with an attitude like that, no one worth it will ever want to work with you or network.

My entire arguement was basic. You cannot have quality without design. A delivery method is required no matter what. I'm not saying a website without content. You're simply pushing content over design for sake of arguement. You are in a market that there are alot of other people working against you. For instance; since you like comparisions so much; there could be the greatest movie ever on tv; but how many people do you think will be watching the great show on a small crappy tv as compared to a modern lovely put together giant tv?

Exactly.

"Free design: Yes, would you spend hours designing a site that you DON'T KNOW if its going to get anywhere? I think not, atleast I wouldn't. What's the use of designing a custom template or having someone do one for you if your not promised the design is going to be up there for a while."

You seem to be pretty ignorant towards how one has to spend money to make money.
You're not going to get far in the business world if you're not willing to invest in anything.

Yep. And you are the only one who disagrees with what's been said here; speaks volumes no?

Majority wins baby boy, you can't believe you're right with your comments since at least 10 people have dissagreed. If you post your site here for feedback or for how much it's worth people wont be a shadow and tell you lies such as "it's worth $10000", it's your fault you're getting these comments, grow up.

A good base formula is the websites annual income.

But since its new, im not sure how that would work.

Here is a WebSite Price Calculator that i use when trying to figure out how much to buy or sell a site for.

There are plenty out there. Just google something like website value calc etc.

There is of yet no standard way of measuring a sites value. There is no bluebook for domains.
