nope, IE7 has fixed a few CSS bugs but a lot of them still exist...the only notable thing IMO is that they now allow alpha transparency on PNGs...FINALLY!

Yeah, thats a big deal - a whole lot of cool designs and ideas could result from PNG support on IE, and make some things a lot easier.

I always use valid XHTML Strict / CSS for my designs for speed of initial coding, updating, cross browser compatability, smaller file sizes, speed of browsers loading the pages, and neater easier to read code. The list could go on but I think I've made my point.
Is there anyone that has only ever known layout using CSS.

well sort of...5 years ago i used to just mess around with DreamWeaver, just GUI only, i didn't know crap about HTML (i thought HTML had something to do with Ho tmai l ) but i quit working with anything web related but then i revisited it and learnt some XHTML and CSS and eventually learnt tables.
but i think it's a disadvantage that i'm not too familiar with other layout technologies even though they are advised against. i still have to think twice if i had to make a nested table :/

Sorta, I messed around with tables for a little bit, but gave up because they kept messing up in IE, plus getting the stretching content boxes was hard for me, I could never get just one column to stretch. So I learned about CSS and picked it up right away, its much easier then messing around with countless lines of coding.

Sure, why not? You can manage just about everything in your CSS file...
