You can still search for a username...
If it helps with spam then it is definitely justified.
There are some usernames I have trouble remembering/spelling. Aside from this, I liked to filter through for the trival info Salathe mentioned.

If the spammer is human they're going to be able to work around this and if the spammer is a bot... well it should of been stopped from registering to begin with.

Curious, hence the word curious.

I pick on things I believe can be bettered and I see this as a good thing.

I brought the member list back to those who clearly want it or use it, or got used to just having it.

It can be accessed via: http://www.talkfreelance.com/memberlist.php

But it ain't going back to main navigation menu.

Please reconsider. The only people you're annoying are regular members who actually use that feature (or... maybe... just me? ). Spammers don't give a crap, they know where to find the member list on a vBulletin forum without looking in for the navigation UI.

While you're at it, we got a whole load of grief over having a "power search" link next to the search box that is at the top of every page. I can't see how having a search link in the navigation directly adjacent to that search box makes any sense (except to fill the hole by the member list link that you're going to put back?).

P.S. I can't wait for a new design, think of all the things to moan and complain about!
