Making an ecommerce site means you're actually selling a product.. rather than sites like image uploaders that can only pray that people click their ads.

The benefits of Ecommerce:

e-commerce is running a retail store online. all business transactions are done online and your products can be digital goods or real products that can be shipped to customers.
Do not open a e-commerce website hoping to make money. Just like a real store you need to give constant attention. If you cannot work on it everyday then you will have a hard time succeeding
