I'm with trev, why do you feel the need to buy a mac? Apple simply sells overpriced, look good hardware. You can buy a cheaper PC instead and invest in a more comfortable keyboard with an extra monitor or two.

you don't pay the hardware but the combo hardware + OS that has been made for this specific hardware
