Actually, recent research may actually show that cannabis helps prevent the memory loss experienced by people suffering from Alzheimer's. And no, I'm not saying you are incorrect. But the same goes for alcohol.

And alcohol - should alcohol be banned too in your eyes? And I would seriously recommend you take a second look at the affects on the human body caused by alcohol intake.

This says that elements of the drug can help us with preventing Alzheimer's, not that weed is safe to smoke.

edit: Many drugs are turned down due to their adverse side effects.
