Portfolio Creation Resources?

Does anyone have any good links to an indepth guide to creating a good portfolio? Im not talking web here but the traditional case and print format. I just ordered and am waiting for my case to come in and I am dabbling with ideas on how to display my work.

Do most people still use matte for their work or do they just use print inserts? Do you display more then one peice per page? Do people prefer high quality laser prints or ink jet?
