  Old  How to change motherboard

I have an old ASUS motherboard that already aproached the end. I would like to replace it with a new, but I wish to leave the rest of hardware: the IDE HDD, Pentium4 processor (which is the next in the queue for replacement), Radeon 9600 255MB Videocard and 1gB RAM.

Is that possible to find motherboard which enables both IDE and SATA HDD connections and other listed hardware support and if yes what is it?

Thanks

If the next thing you are looking to replace is your CPU then you want to be looking at an LGA755 motherboard. This will allow you to run dual and quad core Intel processors when you upgrade. Most motherboards will support your Radeon 9600. You may have to be more detailed on what RAM you have, if its DDR2 or DDR3 it will run fine in any LGA755 motherboard.

I can not give an exact model, however I advise your to look at some LGA755 motherboards and check the specifications to see about your IDE and SATA connections.

The actual physical process of changing the motherboard is very straightforward. Take everything out of the old one, put everything back into the new one. Check the web for guides if you wish.
