Increasing Ranking and Traffic

I am trying to get one of my sites on the first page of google and know this can be hard work. I have a site that is now almost two years old it has a PR 5 and gets average traffic, it is indexed and I am trying to increase not only the traffic but the CTR, the content is good and unique it has regular updates with fresh content, it has lots of back links and is optimized, How can I increase the traffic and adsense revenue without too much alteration to the site it is already over 2000 pages. It has on occasion been on the front page but bounces back down the rankings.

Do Email Marketing or test some quality traffic...

What is email marketing. How is it differs from spam?

To gain advantage from E-mail marketing it has to be targeted to specific users who might be interested in your site or else users will just consider it as spam and delete it and it also does negative publicity for the site.

You could also try getting more inbound links to your site. Have friends post links on their page, or advertise your link on sites that allow it.

Adding your url into your signature space may help. Additional, unique article or site review from popular blog may bring your site to the next top notch level. Good luck.

you can try to post press release on some free PR website , use social network , this is the best way to increase fast your number of visits but you have to provide interesting content and don't forget that it's only a short term solution (unless you find a way to fidelize your visitors)
