Best Way to Get Indexed in Google

What is the best technique for indexing a new site in google?

I have been using social bookmarking with good success, but I was wondering what everyone else is doing.

SEO, make the site well level'd (no more then 3 clicks to get to any important pages) and indexable (might want to include a sitemap), and most importantly relevant to searchers and full of good content.

Also, massive part of pagerank is backlinks. But you could write books on backlinking. Basically, just try to get the best sites (that are relevant to your topic) to link to you.

3 things --

(1) get google sitemap
(2) social bookmarking for important pages which have many internal links
(3) forum posting for pages and xml sitemap.

All I can suggest is to make sure your code is clean, well structured and you use your keywords well throughout the page. Accessibility for your users is vital.
Then forget about search engines and focus more on attracting visitors and making them revisit. Word of mouth is very powerful and eventually, the more visitors to your site, the better your ranking

google web master is good also. Once you registered, you can ask googlebot to visit and index your page, Make sure you optimised your page first to get a good effect (keyword, title, content, sitemap, etc)
