I think it's one of the best grudge blog designs I have ever seen.

I really like the attention to detail and color, blends very well.
Don't have anything to criticize.

On the version for sale I'm not to fond of the "link" buttons in the top right, but really good job.

I'm with StormCat on this one.

It really does remind me of 3-star hotel wallpaper. I wouldn't call it grunge either.

I'll agree aswell, I think the design looks fairly nice but the little dirt and tears that exist in it doesn't justify the grunge label to me.

To be honest I don't think that one word in the title of this thread warrants two pages arguing about it. But thanks for your replies.

I think grunge is a hard genre to design for. I attempted it, and I really enjoyed designing it, but I'm afraid I agree with magnus. I just think it's far too uniform for 'grunge', although I resent the stereotype, as it were.

edit: If you want to see my attempt, here it is:

It's not grunge. But from the appearances, you didn't come here to be disagreed with. That being apparent, I wont comment on the design itself.

Actually you're wrong village idiot. I did originally come here for critique, but when the only person who commented was a guy whose personal website looks like it came from 1997 and even his post had no real ideas for me, just "that isn't grunge" I finished it by myself and now its for sale, so this thread has no real purpose anymore.

an ad hominem would have been me saying "Oh yeah? you don't like my layouts? well you're fat!"

I was simply saying that I don't believe his skills are up to par to be giving me critiques (if you can even call arguing with me about whether or not it is grunge is critiquing.)
