I despise paypal, it is evil. I also need to fax them information, which is hard as I have a severe disability and don't have all the documents. I contacted them to say why and after 10 minutes of being on hold, they cant do anything and cant remove my bank details. Now I have to use ebay without paypal which makes things harder to sell. GRRRRRR!

PayPal is great, I used to hate it but I realized it wasn't PayPal it was the individuals I was dealing with that were wrong. Another alternative to PayPal, which I can't believe nobody has brought up, is Google Checkout.
http://checkout.google.com
(I've noticed NameCheap uses this one aswell)

Yes, good point. I use Google Checkout on a few sites for the purchasing of advert space. Works really well.

egold.com - leave the money sitting in there long enough and you actually earn money (though I doubt it compares to bank interest)

viable alternative: daopay
Try them.
daopay.com offers an effective payment system with no minimum sales nor any monthly fee.
I am satisfied with them as a costumer, I see no reason why you shouldn't be as a client of theirs.

I have decided to give up on paypal. Can anyone advise me to another paypal like system, in which you can add a bank account as the main funding source, not a credit card.
Thanks for your time!

I don't know if that exist. You can open an E-gold account & buy E-gold with your bank account. What country are you from? Google in "buy e-gold [YOUR COUNTRY]" and you will find sites that offer E-gold via payment in bank account. Be sure to do some research about the particular site because it could be scam. Good luck!

I don't think they'll ever be an alternative more popular than PayPal. I've gotten scammed twice due to chargebacks now (totalling around $650) and it's not nice, but what's even worse are all the negative factors of switching.
